Job Description:
  • Lead and oversee the organization’s finance and accounting functions, including a team of six professionals and a Controller.
  • Work closely with ownership and operational leadership to drive profitable growth, improve performance, and support key business decisions.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, KPI reporting, and monthly and annual financial analysis.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to help guide strategic initiatives, investments, expansion plans, and overall business growth.
  • Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, working capital, and other key financial resources.
  • Partner with operations to improve inventory management, production efficiency, distribution, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance, accounting, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Support the company’s continued growth and scalability by evaluating capital investments and operational needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, insurance providers, and financial advisors.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead the finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continued professional growth.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership, ideally including CFO or VP-level responsibility.
  • Strong track record in manufacturing, food processing, distribution, consumer products, or other businesses where inventory and operational finance are key.
  • Experience working in a privately held or family-owned company is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with ownership and operations leadership to improve financial and overall business performance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, cash flow, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.
  • Proven leadership experience building, managing, and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment and managing multiple priorities.
